Oh hello might be closing. Man this sucks.
For those of you not in the know, Oh hello runs some really innovative services and has refused to shove ads in the faces of their users or to marr people's expression on their service with them. Although ads exist in areas of their services.
scribble.nu - a journaling system. Like LJ without the friends list.
gbook.nu - the best free guestbook service out there.
Swanky.org - A writing community not unlike LJ but has a user moderation system that puts the most popular posts in more desireable places in the system based on user votes. Sorta like Kuro5hin for fiction and narratives.
Flowerbuilder - Build flash bouquets of flowers instead of generic iCards.
i85.net - a simple domain redirector so you can have a more memorable name for your page if you don't have your own domain or sub-domain or something.
It's really sad to see this happen 'cause Dustin and the rest of the Ohhello crew have been very inspirational people in the indie-design community with the original swanky.org (an ill-fated design community not unlike newelement.org, which I contribute to although not recently).
So if you're feeling generous and really need a charity to contribute to might I suggest the oh hello goodbye fund?
We're starting to see the death of the free internet.
