Dutch Bank
It is a warm day in January that I wake up in a good mood and have a really great day. Coincidentally enough it was 17°C (63°F, 17.5°C in Newfoundland) just this last Thursday here in Hamilton.

Work was exciting. I got to work by the new doors without the hot air curtain installed. So whenever people come and go (frequently) I got a -20°C (-4°F) blast of air all up in my laser-thin black dress pants. In some sick way I enjoyed this. It kept me on my toes all day and reminded me even still that the bitterly dry cold here in Canada is nothing compared to the moderately cold but insanely damp bullshit in Inverness.

Fun Fact! Nothing makes you cool down faster than moisture as it reduces the ability of fibres in your clothing to insulate. Dry = warm.

Afterwards the café girl gave me free coffee 'cause she was about to throw it out. So I filled up my Hamilton-Beech StayOrGo™ insulated Thermos® co-branded travel mug and headed home. Listened to the draft of the Matt Good compilation I am putting together with [livejournal.com profile] plaidninja to share with you.

At home, and I'm fabricating here it actually happened on Sunday evening but I just took the photo today, I noticed my brother had left a hilarious joke on my bank statement. I'm so glad he is feeling better. Much of his marked improvement in mood since the Rather Messy Break-Up I think has a lot to do with being back at Waterloo with his fellow engineering nerds. Kinda like returning a lovelorn bunny back to the wild.

LOL. I didn't see the "pants" at first, and pictured Brodie in the Canoncial Little Black Dresstm at work, with a breeze blowing up it, a la Marilyn Monroe.

Wow,and I was complaining about the 11 F wind hitting me in the face at work. Maybe I would enjoy it more if I was wearing thin clothing.? I think I will stick to my "two sweatshirts when it is below 15 F" rule. Stay warm!!!

Well, I blew my brains out with beer Saturday night, so saturday afternoon at least bro.

Incidently, I'm living with two physics students and an environmental studies major. But yes it's a party. Too bad the picture doesn't show a little better the words on the bank statement itself.
