  1. What year was it?

    1999-2000

  2. What were your three favourite bands?

Aphex Twin, Autechre and maybe Figurine or something? It's hard to do only three.

  3. What was your favorite outfit?

    As if I can remember?

  4. Who were your best friends?

    Martin, Paul, Brendan

  5. What did you do after school?

The majority of days I had some sort of lesson or rehearsal to attend.

  6. Did you take the bus?

Yeah, like I could afford a car! Plus stringent graduated licensing makes it kinda difficult to be driving on your own before the end of highschool.

  7. Who did you have a crush on?

There were some football players who's bodies I would have liked to have pressed up against my naked flesh. But really nobody really hit all my buttons in highschool.

  8. Did you fight with your parent(s)?

When you have a single parent you can't afford to be on bad terms. As for my brother...

  9. Who did you have a CELEBRITY crush on?

Fuck the cult of celebrity. Deep attraction to a media image is a sign of illness.

  10. Did you smoke cigarettes?

DuMaurier Extra Light King with the picture of the clogged artery or blackened heart please!

  11. Did you lug all of your books around in your backpack all day because you were too nervous to find your locker?

Hiking backpacks were in fashion. Thank god for MEC.

  12. Did you have a 'clique'?

My 'clique' of nerds was a notch above the kids with disabilities. We were the elite inaccessible nerds who talked about physics AND metro kinda subjects like art and culture in the cafeteria. Yet we thought we were better than the other geeks because we had brains AND style.

  13. Did you have "The Max" like Zach Kelly and Slater?

That sentence is both horrendously constructed and makes reference to something I'd rather forget. What's so hard about asking "Did you have a local hangout"?

We used to frequent the local Second Cup. Which is like the Canadian Starbucks. Our particular one was in a renovated hardware store on a nice corner. It had a wooden kitchen table with opposing benches on each side. They type you'd put in a breakfast nook in a kitchen. We called it The Kitchen Table and met there frequently after school and on weekends.

  14. Admit it, were you popular?

Ironically just a week ago at work I saw our former student council president. Who told me that I am "always so cool". So I guess that's some sort of high school authority? Peaking in high school feels lame.

  15. Who did you want to be just like?

Richard D. James and David Suzuki.

  16. What did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a designer of any description. A classical musician. Secret iconoclastic rockstar fantasies.

  17. Where did you think you'd be at the age you are now?

Somewhere I could be inspired by other creative people and have access to the things I could use to create awesome stuff.

We should all be so lucky. Life gets in the way sometimes.

I don't understand this question at all:
Did you have "The Max" like Zach Kelly and Slater?

Fuck the cult of celebrity. Deep attraction to a media image is a sign of illness.
Oh just pick one. You gotta have goals.

Ok, I had to research it but apparently The Max was the like joint that the characters from Saved by the Bell hung out at. Although I dunno for sure 'cause SBTB websites aren't exactly the most well edited things out there.

I sustain that if Beck were fat, hairy and handsome I'd be stalking him right now. But he isn't.

yeah, 'the max' was like, the typical 80s sitcom burger joint... like 'the peach pit' on 90210...

Yeah, the kind that never really existed in real life?

I'm pretty sure they only existed in technicolor.
