Ok, I can understand that free services like ICQ need a stream of revenue (although I could argue that mega-corporations like AOL/Timewarner should provide them for free as a cost of operation. Alas I digres..) But when ICQ has 36(!!) ports open to ads.web.aol.com, then I get bitchy. Seriously, it's saturating my 56K on this notebook at times.

That's wrong.

Not only that...

...ICQ is a memory hog and the new ads really suck. I removed 'em though.
Thank you ResHacker. *grin*

Well, the mirabillis clients definitly blow. 'Specially now that they've disabled file transfers between the newest windows clients and older clients/clones.

I mean, I'm a total ICQ hoe. I have like 5 sessions at any one time open. It should at least cache ads. Seriously.
