Something Fresh

Spring time rock-outs, anthems and soundtracks.

Jesus Christ Chicken and Rice I wanted to post this like a month ago. But shit happens and I've been a busy boy lately. Between selling flowers, best-manning and trying to get out to all the awesome shows on these days I've had little blog time. Let alone time to put mixes on the internet. 'Cause although this shit looks all slacker-ly I assure you between compiling the playlist, artwork and getting the technical bits together there is a significant time investment here. Mostly because I am a tireless perfectionist of sorts. But I'm learning when to Terry Shiavo projects, cut the cord and send them into the world.

Not that I dislike the process at all. I really enjoy sharing music. Similarly I dig that more people are posting their mixes now. The whole musical discourse on peoples blogs is really neat. It's very intimate and exciting.

Something Fresh was really meant for Spring. It's about getting up in the morning and going non-stop until the evening. Then resuming on the patio watching the dusk with a nice cup of tea or a glass of wine. It's about the freshly fallen dew in the morning and the soft velveteen of a sprightly young fawn... but seriously it's about some exciting post-SAD action as summer sets in for us northern hemispherites.

I hope you download and enjoy.

Well either download the torrent, use bittorrent and add the folder to your library. Or download the .zip file off the webserver, open it and add the folder to your library or media player.

The use of "Terri Shiavo" as a verb is so wrong that it's somehow right.

The part about selling flowers made me imagine you as a Hare Krsna. Work that dhoti.

As always I just know half of the bands here, so it is time to listen to new sounds. I wonder if someday we will be able to listen to every interesting band that comes out?

Awesome mix and thanks for sharing. I was just listening to a song by the Mobius Band over the weekend and here you've put another on your mix and now I have to go out and buy the album. Damn you! And your good musical tastes! Stupid! Canadians!
