So Ford Motor Company may have the fingers of the AFA up their collective corporate butt hole. However there is reason to rejoice friends and faggots. Because there is a feature film with two cowboys who fall in love in theatres very soon.

And better yet the film chronicles their forbidden love in an unenlightened time. Showing how their situations prevent them from ever indulging in what they know is true love. I think this will help people realize the situations a lot of men to this day live in. It's hard to really deny this stuff when you see the whole story.

As always, love cannot lose.

Yet, the actors who play the roles of the cowboys have gone on record saying that their characters were "not gay, just two men who found their soulmate who happened to be another man." If that doesn't make them gay, no amount of sodomy will change that.

I just think that it is a shame that a movie like this can come out and then the actors are not brave enough to say "Yeah, my character is gay, yeah he is masculine, no that doesn't make me any less hetero."

Both my father and my straight boyfriend identify as straight yet their yearning for cock is undeniable.
Sexuality is a complicated issue, layering love into it makes it even more complicated.
It would be nice if everything was black and white but it's not.

Well, I'd say that only one of the cowboys was gay, and maybe even bisexual or something. The story doesn't really elaborate on if they were gay or not.

I'm very curious to see this film, and I'm surprised its release hasn't garnered its share of closed-minded fucktards ...

Except that one of them gets beaten to death with tire irons.

When I read the short story last year, I never imagined that someone would have the guts to bring it to the big screen.

NPR did an analysis of what is known about the Ford controversy yesterday. It is available here (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5041397). At the end of it, they mention that Ford had planned to drop these ads long before the AFA boycot threat, and that they were going to be advertising Volvo (a Ford company). For what it's worth.
