Yeek! Maybe I should expect that from someone who's lived in Inverness. Deep fried chocolate bars and all that :D

The irony of listing "Groundhog Day" as a movie to watch over and over has not gone unnoticed.

"Memento" would also work for that joke. Hmmph. I couldn't even fill your newest category - I don't listen to podcasts. Slashdot really needs to bring back Geeks In Space.

Glad you noticed :)

You should subscribe to some. This Week in Tech and Diggnation are basically evolved forms for Geeks in Space. You'd like them, for sure.

Groundhog Day

Thanks for the rec on LCD soundsystem bro. The CD hasn't left the car, and probably won't for a while.

Hi there. Sorry to crash your comments page but my pal B over at bitterlawngnome told me you might have an idea on how I can get my hands on a copy of Sparrow Orange Hands and Knees/em>. I'm truly desperate, or I wouldn't crash your LJ like this. It's all B's fault!!! Here's a link to my rant request plea for help: http://www.livejournal.com/users/kdotdammit/626134.html

I would have emailed you but can't seem to find your email anywhere!!

Thanks for thinking of me. (insert grateful smile and person begging (e.g. grovelling) on Hands and Knees)

Heya! No need to apologize at all. I got a copy of the record pretty easily of Soulseek. Hopefully somebody hasn't already provided you with a copy. Send me an email to brodiec at gmail.com and we'll setup a way to transfer it to you.

Happy holidays!

PS: This is an excellent record. Reminds me a bit of one of my favourite bands Secret Frequency Crew.

If you like Digg, check out www.topix.net (http://www.topix.net). I'll admit I'm a bit biased since I'm one of their engineers, but its pretty cool. We're crawling 15,000+ newsites and 20,000+ blogs, and don't just limit ourselves to tech news.

it's true: topix is better. get news from every major newspaper, magazine, blog, whatever, all on one page, right when it gets published. browse every source by topic. go to their forums section and have some fun anonymously picking bones with "eccentric" strangers (if that's your thing). or look at all the gay news, at any given time. look at whatever you want.

go to topix.net and click on all the adsense links... er... i mean, go to topix and discover a great new web service that far surpasses google news. and i hear the canada coverage is pretty good. (maybe because one of the content editor's is a mcmaster's art freak.)

by the way, i have to agree about the slate.com podcast. another favorite: the view from here
