I'm not any sort of track athlete, per say, so I'm not too well versed in the kinda sports that you do with batons, poles, hurdles and lots of running. I do know that things for the last three weeks have been some sort of triathlon or biathlon or whatever. With each new sport a different kind of breathing is required.

At Local Unionized there is the pounding, heart exploding kind of breathing that makes you feel fat and out of shape. The library presents the kind of really mental breaths that syncopate in a conscious way women practice at Lamaze classes.

Last weekend was the best though. Long slow breaths in during the light and out in the evening. Establishing a rhythm that was slow and just slightly behind the celestial markers of the circadian day.

Setting aside the pretentious metaphors that I don't even really completely understand myself I'd like to thank all my friends for being so awesome. I'm lucky to know so many kind, generous, talented and wicked smart people. Thanks for opening up your homes, wine bottles and conversations with me. It was really wonderful.

That's called living, and it happens with woeful infrequency for most of us.

Sounds like you did some in spades :)

Yeah living is really neat however very hard work. I still have a lot of it to do coming up but tonight I got to sloth around at home for an evening. It was incredible, I could sit around in my underpants, eat turkey pepperettes and jerk it whenever I wanted.
