Yeah many other hipsters and overly self-conscious types are aspiring to being less ironic and more earnest. They buy happy sounding records and talk about how AWESOME things are.. all the time. Which is, in principal... pretty earnest? But also sorta schizoid if you ask me. Like sometimes things suck and sometimes irony is a useful way to cover up the great disappointment that is life.
