So I think to symbolize the new year I will use the cliché graphic style of the 1990's. This is when I had totally awesome faith in the future and the internet and read Wired magazine like it was my bible. Then the 00's happened and Bush and 9/11 and Afghanistan here in Canada. Total bummer. So my take on the new year is to fierce it like it's about 1997. That was a good year. I was out of the closet, hanging out at home to smoke cigarettes and design shit like this instead of getting bored at school.
Basically I wanna do the same thing but get paid. Really well. And it looks like that should be the case this year. Well paid really well in relative terms to my work now.
So here's a somewhat impractical list of stuff I wanna do:
- Learn to build my own aquariums
- Get on the land lords case about new windows, look into sewer problems during heavy rain fall
- Launch SaveYourCity.Ca
- Do great work for Open Daily Films/ICCA
- Quit Fortinos (Local Unionized Grocery Franchise) after I cash out on benefits.
- Apply for an HRDC grant.
- Be with somebody special.
- Smoke less, work out more.
- Finish "Milk of the Bird".
- Less talk about art and more work about it. Get paid to do it. That's the catch.
