I know I can't be the only person that feels that Livejournal is becoming more a daily downer reminding me of all the wicked people I don't get to hang out with. Everyone is bigging up their chests trying to look the most fabulous. I know I feel the pressure. But at the end of the day I still wait in line at the checkout and pay late fees on my DVDs I kept too long. Sorry, I'm a pretty unimportant dude.

I dunno, I've been on LGay long enough to know that the friends list is just a setting on a website. I generally post publicly so the list doesn't matter much. Bud I added you anyhow.

Yeah, I mean on one hand you are setting your best foot forward. On the other there has to be a level of realism and observation that makes you seem real. People who only post Good or Bad news seem odd to me.

If you use NetFlix there are no late fees....and no going to the store....plus you can link friends that tell you about the movies they rent so you know to not rent the suckie ones.


But more to the point, importance is measured by others - you are important to me.

Yeah we have a similar service in Canada called Zip.ca that I haven't yet endeavored to join. It's basically a clone of NetFlix, probably the same company.

Maybe you just need to see your after-work time as a fallow time to recharge you for the next day. Your work is interesting and creative. But you can't be FABULOUS all the time any more than a farm can grow crops all year round, year-in and year-out. It all has to rest for a while to regain its fertility.

I'm so sorry that LJ has become a downer. It was getting that way to me since I have absolutely no life. But now I just live vicariously thru all these other people who talk about their awesome weekend, their Hollywood sightings, their great adventures with all the guys who are local and sometimes just a few blocks from me and there I sit alone in my house.

And for your late fees for your DVDs... omg you need to sign-up for Netfliks or Blockbuster. No late fee and you can keep your movies for as long as you want!
