Date: 2008-03-12 02:28 pm (UTC)If I remember correctly, probiotics do not have 100% of the normal flora/fauna found in a healthy digestive system and in the worst cases a fecal transplant could be necessary to fill in the blanks.
Thankfully, some good probiotics were all I needed.
I knew healthy bowels helped keep parasites at bay, but didn't realize they helped fight against C. difficile as well. It totally makes sense if antibiotics can make cases of C. difficile many times worse.
