Ok, ok, ok... I said I was off the politics horse. And I SWEAR I am trying to... despite discussing the subject with everyone at work, parties and waiting for the bus.

Anyhow, it's Sarah Palin in 30 seconds. This should fit through most of your ADHD windows, it did through mine:

Hey, "Nucular" worked for Bush, and would the President of the Untied States ever say anything wrong? ;)

What annoys me is not her (or his) mispronunciation: it's that, as a result of it, they get to be "one of the folks" while someone who says it right - or even offers a correction - gets painted as a snob. IN fact she *could* have been coached into using that pronunciation exactly as a bait.

The repetition of "maverick" almost made me puke.

'Well gosh darn it, what do ya expect from a team of mavericks?'

I don't fully agree with Matt Taibbi of Rolling Stone, but he has a pretty well-wrought summary of some of what I find so mind-boggling about the Palin VP choice here.

He doesn't mince words. My favourite phrase: "looking happy enough to throw a whole library full of books into a sewer".

yeah. But what I love most are the gestures. The winchester pump in the sketch with Hillary. I died! The way she poses the flute by her side. The opening of the maverick can. I can't laughing even thinking about it!

Wasn't the flute for the "talent competition"? I was eagerly waiting for her to mention the swimsuit competition too, but that didn't happen :)

Yes. The flute was a reference to the talent competition in the debate sketch.

The winchester pump was in the first sketch with Hillary where Hillary says "we have NOTHING in common", overlapping Palin saying "that we have ...something... in common" - or to that effect. Then, Tina pumped the winchester as if out of nowhere. Oh, I was floored! I rolled around choking on my laughter.

Tina Fey is witchingly funny. But I thought the guy doing Biden was weak. Didn't nail the essence at all. Queen Latifah was ok. I think they're doing the series to showcase Tina and bash Palin. Which is fine with me. But I wanna see more overall spoof of everybody!
