I just read some IRC logs I found on a CD-R from when I was a teen. Apparently I and everyone I knew were clinically insane. I might share but it's mostly just humiliating.

At least you were computer savvy enough to navigate IRC in the first place. I couldn't find my way around.

By "heel" my iPod means "geek".

I can't remeber where I heard this. I think it was This American Life or a podcast. But there was a survey of human beings over a long period, almost their entire lives, where participants were checked in with at certain intervals and their statements recorded. Very often the reaction if participants hearing statements from their decades ago selves was that of total disbelief. It showed that people change vastly over years down to fundamentals. The notion is both scary to know that we do not remain "ourselves" in our lives but also encouraging that people have a great capacity for personal change. For better or for worse.

Have you ever watched the "7 Up" series. AWESOME example of this!

I can't stop laughing at your entry though. Thank dog the internet wasn't around when I was a teen. Bad enough it was around in my angsty late twenties. LOL

Memories of the past should be treated like a treasure. Bury them.

Your hypno-toad might be working. I'll see what I can do when I get home.

I like to think of my psychological diversity as a strength. Otherwise I should just get on the pogey and start drinking to kidney failure now.

Did you find old files from the wasted hours in Forrest's #bear-pics room? I ran across a copy of my old \mirc\download folder. Now that had some interesting stuff in it! Some of that stuff went back to 1994.

Oh yeah I knew Forrest. I think we had some sort of IRC falling out at some point. I also have an archive of the website.

Tons but primarily efnet and undernet #bear-pics, #bears and a few others not related to awkward exchange of stats.

Oh boy

I'm utterly terrified at the possibility that I may be included in some of those.

I'm scared enough that Google crawls Fark now.

I had some crazy times on IRC in high school.. would love to read those chat logs. I probably have some buried deep within my possessions stored at Gramma's house.
