Ya know, some times I see old down and out characters on the bus and wonder what circumsnces brought them there. I figure it's probably beyond there control. Uncaring children or widowed to a chumd who only left her dept. Maybe it's a system that only treats mental illness if you're a threat to others.

One can only guess.

Mrs. Spleit talked to Mr.Reason re: the sept. 11 goof up where I was to play Elgar's Enigma variations with the HPO. I was unsure of the dress rehearsal time and ultimately misshd it. Orchestra policy in this case is denial to play the performance.

Luckily it wasn't my playing but my tardiness that lost me that opportunity. According to Mrs. Spleit he holds no ill will towards me and wlshes all the best.

Good to have closure on this. Certainly was a learning experience.

Yowsers! A million things to do today. Btw, I know the last two entries are rife with spelling mistakes. It's that damn palm pilot, I'm gonna hafta find an alternative input device. The thumb board Seumas ([livejournal.com profile] beardoc) had seemed really neato as it's not as bulky as the folding keyboard. I couldn't imagine using the folding keyboard on the bus, for instance. I'll hafta look into it.

Last night I went to the drug store to pick stuff up a 9:45pm and it was closed. What sorta drug store closes at 9pm? Sure there's the 24hr one about 3km away, but I don't drive a car. I mean, burning all that fossil fuel for dental floss, tylenol and postage? Welcome to suburban living. *feigns a smile*

Christ, I don't want to have to transit for 2hrs to get to sectional for 1hr.

I should learn to drive for these occasions. *pops in graduated licensing CD*
