Went to a bad punk show today. Opening was a band called "battle ship ethel". Arp Odysessy, Drums and guitar. They were good enough although I expected them to funk out and all they did was jam all psychodelic style. The punk cover band was cute, but punk none the less. They win points for free birthday cake. I liked Battle Ship Ethel, l believe I will go see them monday at the Raven (no cover! Woo!).

Hamilton's music scene always manages to pleasantly suprise me. Although my expectations are always high.

Open concept free thinking

Well. Today I woke up with a hellishly sore throat and a headache. I'm intend on visiting my family doctor tomorrow to make sure it's not Strept. or something. I have a feeling next week will be one of those weeks where I take advantage of my Canadian pseudo-socialist super powers. Optometrist, (I love my?) Family DR and I also gotta go to the Dentist for a cleaning.

That means phone calls monday. But phuk me up the butt with a giant black silicon dildo I gotta go to Shar's tomorrow and get a copy of Hébraïque for Richard Street (pianist) to accompany me for Hamilton Kiwanas. Their online store is broke and I need it ASAP. Thank god Mom's gonna foot the bill for this. Also must ask Mrs. Spleit (Sr) if she wants me to play with Richard this year. This is my first year playing a pretty challenging piece to accompany too.

Inadvertently Italian

Tonight I made an alfredo sauce with al dente red peppers and portabella mushrooms. It pleased everyone. Listened to Vivaldi's Four Seasons while I cooked too. Had the complete Italian experienced. Just didn't have a good wine to go with dinner. Is the LCBO even open on Sunday?

I dislike the implication that interest in dance/experimental music is synonymous with hard drug use. Or drug use at all for that matter.

It just isn't. I'm sure there's a lot of people who under the influence feel they're able to better understand and enjoy it.
