Winter Ink sale on now: See our site!!

There are so many things about inkjet printers that I hate and wish would go away. The whole disposable nature and controlled substance marketing of ink and supplies makes me mad. And worst of all people take it 'cause OMG that $300 printer is only $100†! It's a big rip off and I want to pay for something that works. Rather than haemorrhage $90 out my asshole every time I'm suddenly out of red ink and in a fix.

So in my great wisdom I bought some bottles of ink and a cartridge resetter. No problem, right? Well not really, the resetter works flawlessly but all that syringe shit with inks... now I know for sure I'd make a crappy IV drug user.

Cooked and ate like a hippie tonight. Listened to Devendra Banhart while cooking some Quinoa ("KEEN-wah") Stuffed Acorn Squash.

It was alright, I'm not wild about orange flavours all up in my main course. Although dried cherries and raisins are AOK.

† After $30 Instant Rebate, $65, $15 and $90 Mail-In Rebates

  • Total amount of music files on your computer:

    491 songs chez GlassPod
    1397 songs dans le Powermac

I don't keep very large music libraries anymore. Instead I prefer to grow my collection slowly with stuff I really like. Sure when you have hundreds of gigabytes of space it's tempting to fill it up. But I enjoy the art of being discerning.

Garbage in, garbage out, as they say.

  • The last CD you bought was:

Stars - Set Yourself On Fire

  • What is the song you last listened to before reading this message?

The Decemberists - The Bagman's Gambit

    So I'm obsessed?

  • Write down 5 songs you often listen to or that mean a lot to you.

    1. Figurine - IMpossible
    2. Aphex Twin - 4
    3. Four Tet - My Angel Rocks Back And Forth
    4. Underword - Pearls Girl
    5. The Decemberists - Here I Dreamt I Was An Architect

Just off the top of my head. There are zillions more.

  • A song that will get any song out of my head:

Hmm. Yeah, I agree with [livejournal.com profile] trachalio. My head doesn't work that way. Once it's playing it's playing, in my head.

  • Who are you going to pass this stick to? (3 persons) and why?

I don't usually like to propagate memes but what the heck! Write up bitches.

    • [livejournal.com profile] plaidninja 'cause you're sly and always on some fierce hip-hop tip despite being all humble about music. As André would say "It's part of his charm".
    • [livejournal.com profile] fannypackcrew because apparently we're TOO cool to be asked what we're listening too. Plus you have good taste.
    • [livejournal.com profile] southerncrane 'cept he is all gaying it up at IBR so I will ask [livejournal.com profile] bcbud instead. You left coast boys are all so funky!

Not surprisingly David Byrne writes a really good blog. His thoughts on the nebulousness of luxury goods is especially insightful.
