Last night I dreamed, which is unusual for me to remember. Quite vividly infact, a Planet of the Apes Affair only somewhere in Northern Ontario. I was playing some type of Mario game that doesn't exist when my cottage on a lake started to fill with water. Water that might I add contained a few brightly coloured Koi. We (myself and an unidentified friend) had to flee to the deck and later the roof to find monkies creating complex geometric structures out of something that might have been 1/4" copper piping or rebar.
"Macaques are like that you know!" Says my friend as he pulls out a small ice pick began a mortally wounding our intruders.
What the fuck is up with being on a deck in Northern Ontario slaughtering motherfucking Macaques with an ice pick? Later different types of monkies show up to help out their Macaques brothers including one dude who looks like a hot buffed-out Cornelius. I'm pretty sure this is where I was getting my morning wood and descending towards conciousness because I did cater the idea of dropping the ice pick and giving Cornelius a blowjob... buuuut there was too many apes and monkies to slaughter.

There's never any gore I remember in my dreams but I specifically recall getting hit on my upper right thigh at just about pocket area. This is where I keep my wallet.. hmmmm. In the end the hordes of chimps, apes and monkies were defeated temporarily but the dream took on a sort of survival-in-the-wild story. They would be back but soon we would have guns...

Here's some flouncy pop psychology explaining my dream I posted this morning.

Flood - Because water is a universal symbol from the unconscious, a flood dream can indicate being overwhelemed by unconscious material, such as repressed emotions. It can also represent a feeling of being overwhelmed by circumstances in one's life. Floods are related to initiation, in the sense that they can symbolize the destruction or washing away of the old in preparation for something new. Finally, a flood, as the bursting forth of fluids, can be a sexual symbol.

Murder - Murder symbolizes aggression and rpressed rage at self or others. If the dreamer is murdered, the release of obstacles in one's life or a major transformation may be indicated

Fish/Fishing - Large bodies of water often symbolize the unconscious, so any sea creature can represent a message from the unconscious or "diving" into the unconscious. Completely at home in the ocnea, fish are the best-equipped creatures from exploring its depths, and are thus positive symbols for anyone engaged in therapy or self transformation. The activity of fishing can indicate a quest, particularly for nourishment [hmm, I am hungry...], and it can indicate an exploration of the unconscious [yes, yes the unconscious]. Fish can also be sexual symbols and, because of their association with Christianity, can be Christ symbols.

It occured to me that I bought a lot of records between the years of 1996-1999. After that point things really start to dwindle... I suppose that's where my vinyl fetish starts to rear it's hissing, popping and crackling head. Or maybe when I bought my cable modem and CD burnder... hmmm.

I still feel so... 90's today. Ironically that's a show on Much Music right now which only makes me feel further outmoded. I mean I can front with my nu-jazz, IDM and breakcore but we all know that at this point I'm inevitably fumbling towards middle-age.

Yup, there's no going back now. Bring forth the "Chill Out" mixes, retro-90's compilations and herbal tea, for today I declare myself officially 20-something!
